Rado the Viking 3D Printed Figure is a 25 cm tall model I created as a commission for my very good friend, Radostin Vazov.
The presentation video at the top showcases the different processes I went through to create the figure, combining different fields of digital and traditional art & design.
The project took approximately 70 hours in total for completion (3D print time not included). This includes early concept & design stages, modeling & sculpting, posing, model refinement, 3D print slicing/preparation, print gluing, clean up and painting.
The model was sculpted and modelled using Zbrush and Blender. It is hand-painted using acryllic paint with matte and glossy varnishes.
This is my first commission for a 3D print model and I had to explore and develop in areas that I didn't have a chance to in the past. I'm grateful for the opportunity and am looking forward to future projects like this!
